How to detach HTML file from Master Page

Useful tip I discovered when making a copy of the Seattle master page for later customization.
Sometimes, permissions, file renaming, etc. doesn’t work as planned if things are setup properly then you’re left with files you can’t get rid of until you do this:
Edit the properties of the HTML file and unclick the “Associated File” setting. If it doesn’t work the first time, click it on, save, then unclick it and save again.

Enable Customization of Master Pages in SharePoint Online

Found this particularly useful today while experimenting with SharePoint Online and trying to customize a master page.

First must download and enable the SharePoint Online Management Shell.
Connect to your site like so:
Connect-SPOService -Url -credential
Run this command:
Set-SPOSite -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0
