Hide First Tab in Sharepoint 2010 Global Navigation

I found this helpful recently. I wanted to add some drop-down options to the Sharepoint 2010 (publishing site) Global Navigation menu, but the first Tab is there by default (linked to the home page of the site) and I could not define sub-menu items to it in Site-Settings->Navigation. The solution was to HIDE this and simply add my own Tab to the home page and then add the sub items to that.

.s4-tn li.static > a{ display: none !important; }

.s4-tn li.static > ul a{ display: block !important; }

Thanks, Erik!
